21. századi élmények a Karolinában

2019-1-HU01-KA101-060658

A 21. századi, globalizált és felgyorsult világban a fiatalok számára a megismerés, a tudásszerzés és annak csatornái sokszínűek és strukturálatlanok. A folyamatosan Å‘ket érÅ‘ inger következtében sokszor figyelemzavaros, több csatornás, ún.multitasking szenzorokká válnak. Storytelling; Creativity, Innovation, Motivation and New Teaching Methodologies; Creativity and Motivation in the classroom with teacher language development; ÉrthetÅ‘ és szerethetÅ‘ matematika az alsó tagozaton; Szoft készségek erÅ‘s tanárok számára; Montessori Method Training Course. A projekt kereteit meghatározó The 4Cs: Creativity, Critical Thinking, Communication and Collaboration in Schools képzésre spirituális igazgatónk utazik. Az élménypedagógia módszertanát alkalmazza a CLIL képzési technika: az idegen nyelvi készségeket személyes tapasztalatszerzésre használja. Iskolánkban igen népszerű. Az alsó tagozaton, valamint az általános iskolában és gimnáziumban is tanító két kolléganÅ‘nk utazik a következÅ‘ kurzusokra: Content and Language Integrated Learning, CLIL in Practice: Focus on Florence. A természettudományos érdeklÅ‘dés fejlesztése szintén stratégiai célja a Karolina Iskolának. A digitális appok, valamint a médiahasználat fejlesztését célzó tanfolyam a következÅ‘: Educational Apps and Audiovisuals in the Classroom, Két kollégánkat választottuk erre a kurzusra, akik a megszerzett készségeket különbözÅ‘ közösségi terekben hasznosíthatják. Az IKT eszközök élményszerű használatában fog magabiztos tudásra szert tenni két nyelvtanár kollégánk is: Effective Use Of Technology In Teaching,Technology in the Classroom. A harmadik pillér, a nyelvi kompetencia fejlesztése egyaránt fontos a szaktanárok és az intézmény adminisztrátorai számára több szempontból, például a partnerségi kapcsolatok lebonyolításának folyamatában is. Ezért öt kollégánk vesz részt nyelvi kompetencia fejlesztési kurzusokon, különbözÅ‘ nyelvi szinteken. A nyelvi kurzusok a következÅ‘k:Intensive General English, English for Educators and Administrative Staff, Intensive General English, Teachers' Refresher, Fluency and English Language Development for Educational Staff. Az intézmény számára az interkulturalitás, valamint az iskola nemzetköziesítése a német kultúrterület irányába is fontos stratégiai cél. A 2020-ra tervezett KA2 stratégiai partnerség egyik résztvevÅ‘ iskolája, a Stiftsschule St. Johann, Amöneburg, német. Három német nyelvtanár utazik ezért módszertanának megújítására. Mivel 22 kolléga, az intézmény összes egységébÅ‘l vesz részt mobilitásban, ahol jó gyakorlatokat tanul, az egész intézményt érintÅ‘ fejlÅ‘dési folyamat tud elindulni. Ezeket az innovatív gyakorlatokat továbbadják kollégáiknak és diákjaiknak, aminek középhosszú távon a tanulói motiváltság növekedése, a szociális érzékenység, tanár-tanulói kooperáció erÅ‘södése, szorongás leküzdése lesz az eredménye. Ez a tanulási eredmények javulásához vezet, aminek hosszú távú hozadéka az iskola magas beiskolázási mutatóinak a fenntartása mellett a felsÅ‘oktatásban továbbtanulók számának a növekedése. Összegezve, a szegedi Karolina Iskola az egész embert nevelÅ‘ alma materré válik, ami meghatározó oktató-nevelÅ‘ intézménnyé tud válni regionális, vagy akár országos szinten.

21st Century Experiences in Karolina School

2019-1-HU01-KA101-060658

The process of knowledge acquisition for the young in the globalized and fast-paced world of the 21st century has shown an unstructured and colourful flow. The continuous stimulus of the children often results in their being attention deficited, multi channeled, multitasking sensors. The students’ learning strategies are also very different from their teachers’. The idea of the teacher being the only source of knowledge has played out, frontal teaching techniques do not engage the learners so much. The teachers have to be life-long-learners themselves in order to be motivating. The leadership of the Karolina school, with the help of a team led by the school psychologist has been monitoring the aptitude, learning attitude and motivation of the students. Based on the results of these tests, the school leadership has identified the first important developmental direction: the need to overcome stress in the classroom and increase motivation. Conflicts, stress can be overcome with the help of learning through experience and personal involvement, thus the student can become part of the process both emotionally and socially. The other asset of a stress –free classroom is to create learning communities with individual needs and learning abilities. The teacher thus becomes a facilitator, not an authority. Experiential learning methods, team-work, creativity, critical thinking and emotional literacy are supported by the following chosen Erasmus+ K1 mobility courses: Creativity, Innovation, Motivation and New Teaching Methodologies, Creativity and Motivation in the classroom with teacher language development, ÉrthetÅ‘ és szerethetÅ‘ matematika az alsó tagozaton, Storytelling,Szoft készségek erÅ‘s tanárok számára, Montessori Method Training Course. The 4Cs: Creativity, Critical Thinking, Communication and Collaboration in Schools provides the guidelines for the whole project, so our spiritual director is attending it. To get further practice and share good practices in the today so popular CLIL method, two colleagues will take part in methodology courses of the sort. CLIL has been already used in our school and has proved to be an engaging as well as an efficient way of transferring knowledge and using foreign language in order to complete tasks, thus belonging to the group of experiential learning methodology. The courses are the following: Content and Language Integrated Learning, CLIL in Practice: Focus on Florence To strenghten scientific orientation is also a strategic aim of the Karolina school. In order to offer hands on experience for the students, a course on PBL, (Project Based Learning) is going to be attended by a colleague. As for channeling the uncontrolled mass of information bombing the students, another important strategic need is given: developing the digital competences of the teachers, to enable them to get up to date information and share it on online platforms, creating digital communities through e-learning or else e-twinning with the colleagues. Hence the following ICT and Media courses are chosen: Educational Apps and Audiovisuals in the Classroom, Effective Use Of Technology In Teaching and Technology in the Classroom. The third essential leg on which the school’s intercultural development stands is foreign language competence, not only for teachers but for administrative staff as well. Language competence is inevitable in the planned KA2 partnership project in 2020, as well as in the professional classroom. The following courses can be listed here: Intensive General English, English for Educators and Administrative Staff, Intensive General English, Teachers' Refresher, Fluency and English Language Development for Educational Staff. Internationalisation towards the German speaking cultural region is part and parcel of foreign language competence.Three German teachers will attend methodological courses: Methodik Didaktik und Kultur, LANGUAGE & METHODOLOGY for Teachers of German as a Foreign Language, Fit in Deutsch are the titles. One partner school in the planned KA2 project is German. (Stiftsshule St. Johann, Amöneborg) To summarize, altogether 22 colleagues are planning to take part in the European mobility. They represent all sections of our really complex school structure: secondary school, primary school, art school and dormitory. By refreshing their competences, bringing home good practices and becoming open to the new, they will bring back innovative techniques that they can share on all school levels, thus enabling to set a common goal of an open, socially sensitive, cooperating, non-stressed learning environment. This motivating environment will in the short-run result in better educational achievement in the Karolina school and in the long-run a better performance and rank of the Karolina school among other schools regionally or nationwide.
